Recently, 8 families in Amta, Howrah District, were hit by a devastating arson, looting and fire that not only burned down their homes but also destroyed the only source of livelihood of one family- a poultry/chicken shop. This unfortunate incident left them in a dire homeless situation, with no clothes to wear and no income to buy essentials or rebuild their livelihood.
In such a challenging environment , local activists reached out to Dharmansh USA. After meeting with the local Karyakartas, Dharmansh USA decided to help our unfortunate brothers and sisters in Amta.
We did the following:
1) Provide clothing for the eight families: The fire had taken away everything from them, including their clothes.
2) Rebuild the poultry/ chicken shop: This shop was the only source of income for Sree Nepal Jana and his family.
Dharmansh USA performed its moral obligation in this critical situation not only by providing immediate relief to the affected families but also giving them hope and a chance to start anew.
We are currently working on figuring out how to help these poor folks rebuild their homes. We will keep you posted.
Dharmansh Foundation India ( DFI ) is not just a fund raising drive/platform or mechanism. DFI will lay the grounds for developing multiple ecosystems that will enable us to provide for, and protect our underprivileged Hindu brothers and sisters, across the nation and even beyond borders.
